The Miracle League of San Francisco Peninsula Board of Directors

Executive Board

President – Gary Morton

Gary Morton was born on Mother’s Day in Berkeley, California. Moved to Palo Alto, California when he was 5, and has been in Northern California since. Attending Stanford University, Gary played baseball for the Cardinal, met his wife, and graduated with a BA in Child Psychology.

We all strive to have a sense of purpose in life, and I thought that my lot was to be an early childhood teacher. Life is navigating twists and turns, and a summer job on a residential construction site led me to owning my own remodeling business. During that time my wife, Betsy, and I raised three delightful girls in Menlo Park, California. Betsy and I now live in Half Moon Bay, California, and I have retired from the remodeling business. It is strange how life’s twists and turns can turn into circle, as I am now teaching and directing an after school program in Menlo Park, to complete the circle, at the same elementary school that my girls attended many years back.

My love for my family, mentoring our youth and especially those with special needs (my oldest daughter was disabled) and my passion for baseball is overwhelming. I can’t think of a more worthwhile endeavor than starting a Miracle League here on the San Francisco Peninsula. | 650-867-4094
